Universal Tennis (MyUTR.com) and the Indian Wells Tennis Garden have announced a new partnership under which the Indian Wells Tennis Garden will integrate Universal Tennis’ technology, assets and resources to support its tennis programming throughout the club.
The Indian Wells Tennis Garden will leverage the UTR Platform to drive further engagement across its tennis programming and organize fun and flexible level-based UTR Events. The facility will become the hub for UTR in the Coachella Valley and serve as an incubator for innovative tennis events for players across age, gender and skill level.

What is UTR?
UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) is the world’s most accurate tennis rating system that measures players of all ages, genders, skill levels and locations across the same scale. Think of it like a golf handicap, but for tennis.
The UTR Platform, anchored by the rating, is making it easier for all tennis players and fans to connect and showcase their game.

How does the rating work?
UTR gives you an accurate, real time perspective of your tennis skill level. It moves with you as you play. Your UTR is based on the singles and doubles matches you have played in the last twelve months, looking at the strength of your competition and games won.
All it takes is one match to begin establishing your rating. If you’ve played in any USTA matches, you already have a rating and can activate it on UTR.
