Jai Nettimi

Jai Nettimi

Director of Tennis
Jai Nettimi is a Tennis Professional at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. He is a USPTA and USTA Youth tennis certified ITA and CIF Coach, who has been voted a top-50 tennis professional in the Southern California region. Involved in the Desert tennis community for over 23 years, Jai has extensive experience in both teaching and coaching the sport, as well as management of facilities and clubs. Jai was born in Southeast India but moved to the United States as a young child; eventually attending the University of California Santa Cruz and winning back to back NCAA tennis titles in 1995 and 1996. After graduating, he played on the ATP satellite tour before settling down as a full-time resident in the Coachella Valley. Jai is married with two children, and loves travelling with his family and watching his two young boys compete in sports.

Lisa Kempton

Tennis Professional/Stringer/Tennis Events Coordinator
Lisa Kempton is a Tennis Professional at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden as well as the Program Director of the Coachella Valley NJTL (National Junior Tennis and Learning). She is a USPTA certified instructor with over 15 years of experience in both teaching and racquet stringing. As one of the most senior instructors at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden with more than 10 years at the club, she enjoys and has extensive expertise teaching players of all levels. Lisa is a consistent staple of both our Adult and Junior level programs, so whether you are looking to hone your own skills or shape your junior star into a future pro, Lisa is the right person for the job!

Christian Rozpedski

Tennis Professional
Christian Rozpedski is a Tennis Professional at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. He is a certified PTR instructor, who has played Division II & NAIA collegiate tennis for Salem University & University of Saint Katherine. Christian clinched the first official win for the history of the USK Tennis team. This aided the team to qualify for Nationals. In 2017, Christian received the opportunity to become a sponsored Junior player for Team Dunlop. Due to being part of their team he has had the chance of hitting with a variety of the top ATP professionals. Christian has extensive experience in both playing & coaching the sport. His father was a professional tennis player that played Davis Cup for Poland. Christian is passionate about boosting an overall improvement in all the players he is fortunate to work with. Christian’s favorite hobby is to produce all genres of music. He has had the chance to sign a track with Sony Music.
Stu mittleman

Stu Mittleman

Director of Fitness
Stu Mittleman is the Director of Fitness at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, and is one of American’s most well-known fitness educators and endurance athletes. Stu is a "master" of endurance, with an extensive international following due to his incredible personal accolades that span over three decades, as well as books that have helped thousands of athletes reach their athletic peak. His achievements include World Record setting performances in ultra-distance running, international success as a Triathlete, and a recent inductee into the Ultrarunning Hall of Fame.

Greg Failla

Tennis Professional
Greg Failla is a top professional who has taught tennis for over thirty years. He was a member of the Junior Davis Cup Team and made the quarterfinals of the Junior U.S. Open. As a junior player in Southern California, Greg was ranked no. 6 in the nation. Greg was a two-time All-American at the University of Southern California and ranked no. 5 in Division 1 Men's College Tennis. Greg competed at the top level of professional tennis and competed in all four Grand Slams. He is a 4-time Gold Ball Champion and competed with both his daughters in the National Father-Daughter Championships. Since his career as a professional tennis player, Greg has had over thirty years of experience coaching young players and adults in tennis. Greg spent over twenty years as the Director of Tennis at San Vicente Resort and Riviera Oaks Resort and Racquet Club in Ramona, California. In 2019, Greg took on the position of Head Women’s Tennis Coach and Assistant Men’s Coach for San Diego Christian College. Greg enjoys working with both juniors and adults and has a great love for the game of tennis.

Katrina Failla

Tennis Professional
Katrina Failla has competed as a top junior, college, and professional tennis player. In junior tennis, Katrina was ranked no. 29 in the nation. Katrina played both no. 1 singles and doubles for no. 4 nationally ranked Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. For her incredible accomplishments on and off the court, Katrina was awarded Athlete of the Year in 1990 at Trinity University. Following college tennis, Katrina played at the highest level of women’s tennis, competing on the ITF and WTA tour from 1990-1993. Katrina also competed as the no. 1 player for German Team Tennis in Heidelberg, Germany. After traveling the world playing professional tennis, Katrina began coaching juniors and adults. Katrina spent twenty years coaching top college and WTA players. Katrina was a teaching professional at Singing Hills Tennis Club and Vista Country Club. Katrina joined Greg Failla as Tennis Director at both San Vicente Country Club and Riviera Oaks Resort and Racquet Club. From 2019-2021, Katrina joined the San Diego Christian College team as the Assistant Women's Coach. Altogether, Katrina has over thirty years of experience as a tennis professional, coaching all ages and levels of the sport.
